Looking around and came across this. Though, hey, kinda what I am looking for. I moved up to Calgary and I am just getting to know the indie scene here *skoffs a bit because it is Calgary*. Hope to hear about some Canadian artist here. Wasn't even here a month before I found Feist. Was happy to hear her on KEXP (Seattle station great for finding out the indie scene there and they have a web cast). Kinda scouting around since then. I know of Maple and Arts & Crafts as far as labels go. Got any other sugestions for rooting out?

Rise against England.
Hey dude, you speak the words of wisdom, Canadian music is truly excellent. I am living proof of this, being in Australia and and and enjoying Broken Social Scene, Arcade Fire, Stars and The Unicorns. Keep up the kickin word Canada. We share a bond with you because we were both Britain's bitches and also have worthless dollars.

I like Wolf Parade
I figure I'll start this off by talking about one of my fav new bands, Wolf Parade. These guys are from Montreal and they've really got something new and different going on.

Check out "We Built Another World" and "It's a Curse"

I can't wait to see them live.

Anyway, I hope you join up cause I'm always looking for new tunes (from both North and South of the border).
